France appoints military attaché to its embassy in Armenia
France has decided to appoint a new military attaché to its embassy in Armenia.
According to reliable insight obtained by Caliber.Az, the information circulated some time ago by the French publication Intelligence Online has thus been confirmed.
This step was first discussed at a high level during Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan's visit to France in September 2022 and is now receiving its actual form.
A French military attaché will oversee the supply of French lethal weapons to Armenia, and French President Emmanuel Macron personally supported Paris' military-political decision to supply lethal weapons to Armenia.
In this way, one of the leading EU countries has blatantly violated the traditional pan-European policy of refusing to supply lethal weapons to the region, thereby attempting to influence the military balance in the region in favour of Armenia.
Caliber.Az will soon share information on what types of weapons France plans to supply to Armenia.
