Karabakh Armenian woman thanks Azerbaijani border guards New video from Lachin ckeckpoint
On July 14, citizens of Armenian origin living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, who needed medical assistance, crossed the border through the Lachin border checkpoint in the Gorus direction with the mediation of ICRC and under the control of Azerbaijani state structures.
As Caliber.Az reports, Azerbaijani doctors were present at the border checkpoint and cooperating with the ICRC helped ensure the medical evacuation process.
By the way, an interesting scene occurred during the process. When an elderly Armenian woman got off the ICRC vehicle to go to passport control, the Azerbaijani border guard gently told her - "You stay," making it clear that she would be let through separately and out of line.
"Thank you, guys, thank you," the woman thanked the Azerbaijani side after being escorted back to the car.
As a reminder, during earlier discussions with the ICRC delegation in Azerbaijan, Dragana Kozic, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that it was possible to continue the crossing of Armenian residents through the border crossing for medical purposes with the mediation of the ICRC and in compliance with the necessary rules.
