Armenian attacks Azerbaijani consulate building in US
The building of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles was sprayed with paint.
The relevant information and the corresponding video were disseminated on the social media network, Caliber.Az reports.
It is reported that an Armenian attacked the building of the Azerbaijani Consulate, poured paint all around the perimeter of the building and locked the doors.
At the time of the incident, there were no police officers at the scene. Experts said that based on the experience of previous years, the Los Angeles police and other relevant agencies could have taken additional measures to strengthen the security of the Consulate General.
A similar incident took place on August 31, when about 50 persons of Armenian origin, who held a rally in front of the Azerbaijani embassy in Lebanon, hit the fence of the administrative building of the embassy, threw bottles with paint and explosive mixture at the embassy building.
The embassy staff was not injured as a result of the attack, Caliber.Az reported citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s website.
“As soon as the agency responsible for the protection of diplomatic missions was informed about the incident, the law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene, but at that time the provocateurs managed to get away from the area,” the ministry said in a statement.
