Illegal armed formations in Garabagh threaten lives of hundreds of our people Statement by Azerbaijani roving ambassador

"Illegal armed formations in Garabagh pose a serious threat to the lives of hundreds of our people every day. About 10,000 members of illegal armed groups have been present on this Azerbaijani territory for almost three years," Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments Elchin Amirbayov said in an interview with French radio, Azertag reports.

Emphasising that Armenia provides all kinds of support to the separatists, Amirbayov said: "Armenia also finances the separatists from its state budget. All this poses a serious threat to the security of our country. Therefore, it was decided to conduct local anti-terrorist measures and neutralise the legitimate military targets of the enemy".
