Azerbaijani State Migration Service, Labor and Social Protection Ministry start operating in Garabagh PHOTO

Employees of the State Migration Service (SMS) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan (MLSP) began working in the Garabagh economic region.

Employees of the State Migration Service, the Labor have started working in the Garabagh economic region to ensure the sustainable reintegration of Armenian residents living in Azerbaijan’s Garabagh region and to enable them to benefit from the state protection.

A Working Group has been formed to address social, humanitarian, economic, and infrastructure challenges in the Garabagh region as part of the responsibilities related to determining the legal status of Garabagh Armenians, Report informs.

The employees of the State Migration Service are involved in the on-the-spot acceptance of applications for initial registration of Armenian residents living in the Garabagh region and the organization of educational events in this regard, while the employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population are engaged in determining the social-humanitarian needs of the residents.

In order to join the reintegration process, the reception of applications for preliminary registration is carried out by the employees of the State Migration Service in the former "police" building located in the city of Khankendi.

Also, the process of receiving and registering applications for initial registration is carried out electronically through a special portal (reintegration.gov.az) created for this purpose by the State Migration Service.

The activities of the employees of the state bodies in the region will enable the faster reintegration of the Armenian residents living in Garabagh into the local society, as well as increase the efficiency in meeting their social and humanitarian needs.
