Japan to announce new anti-Russian sanctions soon

Japan's new sanctions against the Russian Federation because of the situation in Ukraine are at the final stage of agreement and will be announced in the near future, according to Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa.

"The new package of restrictive measures is in the final stage of the agreement," she noted at a regular press conference, TASS reports.

Kamikawa also once again criticized Russia's actions in Ukraine.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced earlier that the Japanese government would also expand sanctions lists against Russia over the situation in Ukraine, as other members of the Group of Seven did earlier last week.
