Armenian PM sets up two working groups under delimitation commission

By the decision of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, two working group has been formed under the Commission on Delimitation and Border Security of the State Border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan which include residents of the Tavush region and representatives of the security bloc of the republic.

The first working group will clarify the coordinates as a result of geodetic measurements for the relevant parts of the border between the settlements of Baghanis (Armenia)-Baghanis Ayrim (Azerbaijan), Voskepar (Armenia)-Ashaghi Askipara (Azerbaijan), Kirants (Armenia)-Kheyrimli (Azerbaijan), and Berkaber (Armenia)-Ghizil Hajili (Azerbaijan), and prepare a corresponding Protocol-description draft, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian Cabinet of Ministers.

This nine-member working group will be headed by Governor of Tavush Province Hayk Ghalumyan. The group comprises the heads of Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Baghanis, Berkaber, Kirants, Voskepar settlements, as well as Serob Makhsudyan, a resident of Voskepar village.

The second group consists of representatives of Armenia's power bloc. In particular, David Sanamyan, Head of the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the NSS was appointed as the coordinator for organizing the works. It also includes Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Arman Sargsyan, as well as Deputy Head of the Cadastre Committee, Deputy General Staff of the Armed Forces, Acting Commander of the Border Troops of the National Security Service and others.

Two working groups have been created at the commission on delimitation of the state border and border security between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which include residents of the Tavush region and representatives of the security bloc of the republic.
