3rd CIS Games: Competitions in eight sports kick off across Azerbaijan
The 3rd CIS Games continue today across several Azerbaijani cities, with athletes competing in eight different sports disciplines.
The national teams of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will compete for the bronze medal in Sheki, where the traditional chovgan matches are being held. The rhythmic gymnastics events will also commence in Sheki later today. Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
In Ganja, the final day of the volleyball tournament will determine the medal winners at the city’s Sports Palace. Fencing competitions will also continue, while the results of the shooting events are expected to be announced by the end of the day. Additionally, Ganja will host the concluding rounds of the 3x3 basketball tournament to decide the winners.
Meanwhile, in Mingachevir, the final races in canoe and kayak rowing are scheduled, rounding off another action-packed day of the Games.
