Albanian parliamentary commission holds hearing for ambassador candidate to Azerbaijan
The Foreign Policy Commission of the Albanian Parliament today held a hearing with Besart Kadia, a candidate for the post of Albanian ambassador to Azerbaijan and currently the country's deputy foreign minister.
During his speech to the commission members, Kadia elaborated on the relations between the two countries, recalling that diplomatic ties emerged back in the early 1990s, Report quotes the Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA).
"Over the years, bilateral cooperation has expanded, with special attention paid to economic ties. Energy has become a key area of common interest. Just a year ago, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Azerbaijan. Over these three decades, we have proved that relations between the two countries are built on a solid foundation of mutual respect and fruitful cooperation," Kadia stated, as quoted by ATA.
