Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Montenegro explore new cooperation opportunities

Azerbaijani ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov has recently met with Montenegrin ambassador to Türkiye Perisa Kastratovic.

“During their meeting, the sides discussed bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro and explored new opportunities for cooperation,” Caliber.Az reports citing the message of the Azerbaijani embassy in Türkiye on X.

Azerbaijan and Montenegro have maintained a cordial and cooperative relationship since Montenegro gained independence in 2006. Diplomatic relations were formally established in April 2008, and both countries have since worked to strengthen their bilateral ties through various avenues.

The political relationship between Azerbaijan and Montenegro is marked by mutual respect and collaboration on international platforms. Both countries have embassies in each other's capitals, facilitating diplomatic communication and cooperation. High-level visits and meetings between officials from both nations have been frequent, focusing on enhancing political dialogue and mutual understanding.
