Azerbaijani deminers join global experts in Switzerland for cutting-edge training PHOTO
A delegation of staff from the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) is currently attending a specialised demining training program hosted by the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) in Stans, Switzerland.
The training, organised by one of the world’s leading institutions in humanitarian mine action, aims to enhance the operational efficiency and strategic coordination of national mine action authorities, Caliber.Az reports via the ANAMA.
The event also serves to strengthen collaboration among both local and international stakeholders engaged in efforts to mitigate the global threat posed by landmines and explosive remnants of war,
The program focuses on developing advanced technical competencies and management practices essential for planning and executing effective demining operations. Topics include risk assessment, the application of modern technologies in mine clearance, and adherence to international mine action standards.
