Azerbaijan’s Lachin-based military unit opens doors to media ahead of city day PHOTO/VIDEO
In commemoration of the upcoming Lachin City Day, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence organized a comprehensive media tour to one of the military units of the Azerbaijan Army stationed in the strategically significant Lachin district.
During the visit, media representatives were provided with extensive briefings on the organization of both service and combat operations within the unit. The tour aimed to offer insights into the operational readiness, daily life, and welfare of personnel serving in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
Journalists were given access to a range of facilities, including service and administrative offices, the soldiers’ dormitories, the unit’s canteen, food and supply depots, as well as other logistical and household infrastructure. The visit showcased the material and technical resources available to support the effective functioning and well-being of military personnel.
Throughout the tour, servicemen—ranging from enlisted soldiers to officers—shared their reflections in interviews, expressing a profound sense of pride in their role within the Armed Forces and their service in the liberated lands. They spoke about their ongoing military training, including theoretical instruction and practical combat preparedness, and offered detailed explanations of the structure and scope of their service duties.
The servicemen also expressed appreciation for the significant improvements in their living standards and the recognition they have received for their service achievements. In particular, they highlighted the sustained attention and support provided by the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev.
Soldiers, sergeants, warrant officers and officers expressed their pride in serving in the Victorious Azerbaijan Army.
The media tour concluded with a live demonstration of a combat training exercise, offering journalists an opportunity to witness firsthand the preparedness and professionalism of the unit.
