Ankara to step up efforts to improve Azerbaijanis' social security in Turkey

Turkey's Labour and Social Security Minister Vedat Bilgin has made public main areas of social security cooperation with Azerbaijan.

"Azerbaijan and Turkey have two main directions in the field of labour and social protection," Report informs, quoting Bilgin.

"One of the main areas of our cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of social security, labour, and employment is the organisation of working life in accordance with ILO (International Labour Organisation) standards, as well as the establishment of an entire insurance system to protect workers," the Turkish minister said.

He noted that the working groups on these issues are interrelated.

"We believe that it is very important to step up our efforts for easier and unhindered solution of the problems faced by Azerbaijani citizens who came to Turkey from Azerbaijan or live here, as well as our citizens living in Turkey and Azerbaijan," Bilgin said.
