Armenia: Floods cause explosion at petrol station in Tashir

Due to mudflows caused by floods on the Tashir River in Armenia's Tashir community, the water level has risen, houses and buildings have been submerged, citizens have been evacuated.
Compressors at one of the gas stations in the town of Alaverdi were under water. As a result of a short circuit, an explosion occurred. Houses were flooded in Vanadzor, Stepanavan and Amrakits village, Caliber.Az reports, citing the rescue service of the Armenian Interior Ministry.
In Yerevan administrative districts of Arabkir, Erebuni and Shengavit some vehicles were in water, buildings and parking lots were flooded. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties and 232 citizens were evacuated.
