Armenia registers almost 2,000 new COVID-19 cases during week

The National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Armenian Health Ministry has said that 1,913 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Armenia over the past week.

In total, 432,274 people infected with COVID-19 were registered in Armenia as of August 22, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.

In fact, 2,417 people are currently being treated (their number increased by 255 during a week). Some 419,528 people recovered (1,663 during a week), 8,648 patients died (five people over the past week).

According to the authorities, there is not any new fatal case of COVID-19 infected citizens “due to other diseases”. The total number of such cases is 1,684. In total, 10,332 people died.
