Armenia's former deputy defence minister caught up in large-scale corruption
13 December 2023 12:05
Armenian Prosecutor General's Office demands to confiscate about 1 billion Armenian drams ($2.4 million) from former Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Alik Mirzabekyan and his family.
The assets include 10 real estate properties, one car worth 10 million Armenian drams ($24,000), deposits and bonds worth more than 180 million Armenian drams ($448,000) and about 90 million Armenian drams ($224,000) as a balance of illegal money, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
According to the report, the case has already been transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court.
Armenian TG-channels note that General Mirzabekyan is the "godfather" of extremely unsuccessful projects of the Armenian military-industrial complex, such as "Krunk" and "X-55".
