Opponents of the current Armenian government have damaged the statue of the marching Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a monument symbolizing his leading mass protests in Armenia in 2018, for the fifth time.
The statue, which was moved several months ago from the Ijevan-Noyemberyan highway to the courtyard of the local church, as a safer place, was again smashed, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.
According to media reports, unknown people broke the head of the idol of "Pashinyan" at night. The last time this happened was on May 13, when the head of the statue was broken and dyed red.
The statue is called “My Step” and symbolizes the so-called “Velvet Revolution” led by Pashinyan from Gyumri to Yerevan in the spring of 2018.
