Minister Yerlikaya announced the results of the coordinated effort via a post on social media platform X, emphasizing the government’s continued commitment to eradicating domestic and transnational terror threats.
“Over the course of two weeks, more than 50 individuals affiliated with the ISIS terrorist organization were detained. These suspects were involved in funding assistance networks connected to ISIS and spreading the group’s propaganda through their social media accounts,” Yerlikaya stated.
He further noted that the raids yielded the seizure of a substantial cache of organizational documents and digital materials, which are now being analyzed by counterterrorism units.
Video footage released by authorities shows security forces conducting simultaneous operations across multiple locations, highlighting the scale and coordination of the nationwide sweep.
