Putin affirms Russia’s aviation industry fully meets military demand
President Vladimir Putin has declared that Russia is fully meeting the combat aviation requirements of its armed forces, despite the ongoing special military operation.
The Russian leader emphasized the robustness and efficiency of the country’s aviation industry, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Even now, despite our own substantial needs for combat aviation due to the special military operation, I do not consider our aviation sector to be oversized,” Putin remarked. “We not only fully satisfy the demands of the Russian Armed Forces but also continue to supply essential equipment for export, where it remains in high demand.”
Earlier, President Putin acknowledged that Russia has made notable advancements in domestic engine manufacturing; nevertheless, persistent challenges in the development of the national aviation sector remain unresolved. He underscored that these issues should have been addressed much earlier.
Additionally, Putin highlighted that only four countries worldwide currently produce engines comparable to the PD-14, with Russia counted among this select group.
