Armenian export company "Spayka" hit by mass truck detentions in Russia
The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office has received a request for legal assistance from Russian authorities in connection with the case of the Armenian company “Spayka.”
According to Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office confirmed that the request concerns criminal proceedings related to Spayka’s operations.
“The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office has received a request from the competent authorities of the Russian Federation to provide legal assistance as part of criminal proceedings connected to the activities of Spayka Company,” the press service stated.
Previously, the Armenian Minister of Economy clarified that the difficulties in exporting Spayka products to Russia are unrelated to the state of Armenian-Russian relations.
Media reports indicate that around 150 trucks carrying the company’s fresh fruits and vegetables have been detained in various regions across Russia. Spayka reported that the contents of 30 trucks spoiled during the forced delay, causing estimated losses of approximately $2 million.
