Armenian military joins Combined Resolve-2025 exercises in Germany
A group of Armenian military personnel is participating in the Combined Resolve-2025 military exercises at the Hohenfels Training Area in Germany.
This year marks the first time a unit formed from the personnel of the Defence Ministry’s Military Police special battalion is taking part, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
During the exercises, the special battalion has been tasked with protecting high-security facilities, detecting and neutralising reconnaissance and sabotage groups, as well as performing other duties.
A delegation from the military police, led by Head of the Military Medical Department of the Armenian Defence Ministry, Colonel Gegham Pashikyan visited the US military base in the town of Hohenfels, Germany, where the Combined Resolve-2025 military exercises are taking place.
The delegation members were briefed on the conditions of personnel accommodations and observed the ongoing exercises. At the final debriefing, the exercise leadership and US partners praised the level of preparedness and organisation of the Armenian Defence Ministry’s units.
Let's note that the drills, held from January 17 to February 15, 2025, at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, involved over 4,000 participants from the United States and 15 NATO allies and partner nations.
This exercise focused on enhancing interoperability among NATO land forces and partner nations, ensuring their capability to execute multi-domain large-scale combat operations together. It also incorporated the U.S. Army's "Transformation in Contact" initiative, which involves rapidly fielding and testing commercial off-the-shelf technologies to maintain agility in a fast-evolving battlefield environment.
