Armenian PM reaffirms ties with Russia at Yerevan event
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan described Russia as a friendly country during an exchange with a resident in Yerevan, reaffirming that bilateral ties remain intact.
According to Armenian media cited by Caliber.Az, Pashinyan made the remarks while visiting a local fair, where he interacted with members of the public. During the visit, a woman urged him not to damage relations with Russia, noting that she has many relatives there.
“What are you talking about? I am going to Russia soon. What enemy? How? Russia is our friendly country,” Pashinyan responded.
He added that Armenia continues to maintain relations with Russia. Video footage circulating online shows the prime minister attaching a badge featuring the outline of the “Real Armenia” map to the woman’s outerwear.
