Armenian political stability at risk due to Biden dependency, says analyst
Armenian political analyst Suren Surenyants has raised concerns about Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s complete reliance on the Biden administration.
As reported by Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media, Surenyants noted that the primary question in the US is, "Who the US Democratic Party will replace Biden with and whether this candidate will be able to be competitive with Trump."
Surenyants emphasized that Armenia should be worried about a different issue: "regardless of the fact that Biden will be in office until the third decade of January, his administration will no longer have any authority in international relations."
He remarked that, despite perceptions of the US, it remains the leading global superpower, and its internal political instability will diminish its influence and engagement in the region, creating new risks. This concern is heightened by Pashinyan's government placing "all its eggs" in the basket of the Biden administration, according to Surenyants.
