Armenian skaters’ provocative music yanked at Olympics PHOTO

At the XXV Winter Olympic Games, a potential political provocation involving Armenian figure skaters Nikita Rakhmanin and Karina Akopova was averted.
The International Skating Union (ISU) has changed the musical programme originally planned by the pair, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
They will no longer perform to a track titled “Artsakh”, which had sparked concerns from the Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee.
The committee had protested, viewing the music choice as a political and separatist statement.
The skaters’ new programme now features Latkia’s Theme, Ringa Ringa, and Jai Ho.
The XXV Winter Olympics are scheduled to conclude on February 22.
