Armenian Speaker receives USAID representative

Speaker of Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan received the Head of the USAID Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Erin Elizabeth McKee, who arrived in Yerevan on October 30.

The remarks came from the press service of the legislative body of Armenia, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.

“The parties discussed issues of continuing cooperation between the Armenian parliament and the USAID. The Speaker of Armenian parliament underlined that the United States have an important place in the political and economic life of Armenia, and the latter is interested in the further involvement of the United States in ensuring the security and economic development of Armenia.

The parties also touched upon the implementation of programs aimed at strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia,” the statement says.
