ASTRA: Fresh strike hits major oil refining facility again in Russia’s Perm PHOTO / VIDEO
Several drone attacks have been recorded in Russia’s Perm region over the past eight days, with OSINT analysts from ASTRA reporting that one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez, has been struck for the second time.
Video from the scene was filmed on Svetlaya Street, around 8 kilometres from the refinery. Regional authorities confirmed an attack on “one of the industrial enterprises” but did not name the facility.
“Today, an enemy drone struck one of the industrial enterprises in the Perm region. All emergency services are working at the site. There are no fatalities or injuries. Several other drones were also shot down. Emergency services are working at the sites where debris fell. The region remains under a ‘Drone Danger’ regime. An operational headquarters is in place,” the region's governor Dmitry Makhonin said.
In addition, a drone hit a residential high-rise building at 13 Novosibirskaya Street. One man was injured, and residents were evacuated and are receiving psychological support.
“In the aftermath of the drone attack in Perm, an apartment building was damaged. There are no fatalities. Emergency and operational services are working at the scene. Residents of the affected building have been evacuated. Psychologists are working with them. An administrative building in the Perm municipal district was also damaged. One man was injured and is receiving necessary medical assistance,” Makhonin added.
About 600 meters from the damaged residential building is the defence enterprise UEC-Saturn PJSC, which produces components for military aviation engines, including Mi-8, Mi-28 and Ka-52 helicopters, as well as parts for Su-24, Su-17, MiG-23BN and MiG-31 aircraft. The company is under sanctions by the United States, the European Union, Switzerland, Japan, and Ukraine.
