AZAL, Ethiopian Airlines expand travel horizons for passengers
The national airline of Azerbaijan, AZAL, has announced new opportunities for international travel in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines to enhance connectivity for passengers and simplify their travel experiences.
"As part of the signed partnership agreement, passengers will now have access to new routes, including convenient layovers," AZAL said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
The agreement also allows for the issuance of a single ticket for flights operated by both airlines, enabling thorough check-in for baggage.
This collaboration represents a significant step towards ensuring comfortable and seamless journeys for customers of both airlines.
"The logistics of travel have been significantly simplified, eliminating the need for passengers to recheck their luggage during layovers," a spokesperson for AZAL commented.
"Passengers can now easily transfer at airports across the Middle East and in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as the Indian subcontinent, making international travel more straightforward."
The partnership with Ethiopian Airlines further strengthens AZAL’s international presence. The airline is actively collaborating with other carriers to offer more accessible and convenient travel options for its passengers.
Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, plays a crucial role in this partnership. Its extensive route network covers most countries participating in COP29 across the African continent.
A representative from Ethiopian Airlines noted, "This cooperation not only enhances our route offerings but also supports the growing demand for international travel in the region."
With these new developments, AZAL and Ethiopian Airlines are set to provide a more integrated travel experience, catering to the needs of modern travellers.
