Azerbaijan among nine countries participating in Kazakhstan’s AI programme
The graduation ceremony for the AI Leaders 2026 programme, the largest executive-focused artificial intelligence education initiative in Central Eurasia, was held at the Alem.AI International Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Astana.
According to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, the programme was delivered in partnership with Stanford University's Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) research institute, OpenAI Academy, and the Silkroad Innovation Hub, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
The initiative brought together more than 800 executives and specialists from over 150 organizations across nine countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Mongolia.
Over an eight-week period, participants completed more than 45 hours of training that included lectures from Stanford experts, practical sessions led by OpenAI Academy, and industry-focused workshops. The programme also featured more than 240 strategic sessions and over 120 hours of one-on-one mentoring.
Organisers said the initiative was designed to help business and government leaders better understand and implement artificial intelligence technologies within their organisations and industries.
