Azerbaijan announces 15 athletes for Euro Games 2023

Azerbaijan has announced its national team in athletics for the upcoming III European Games in Poland.

According to azerisport. com, the team includes 15 athletes: Nazim Babalev, Fahriya Taghizada (long jump), Alexis Kopello, Ekaterina Sariyeva (triple jump), Anna Skidan (hammer throw), Ismail Aliyev (shot put/discus throw), Alham Nagiyev (100m/200m/4x100m/4x400m), Lamia Veliyeva (100m/200m/400m), Ilaha Guliyeva (run 100m/200/400m), Javid Mammadov (400m/4x400m/ 400m hurdles), Elman Abyshov (5000m/1500m/800m), Anna Yusupova (5000m/1500m/800m), Alexey Aliakperov, Ali Abdiyev, Gadir Gurbanov (4x100m relay).

The competitions on athletics will be held on June 20-25 at Eurogames 2023. There will be 37 sets of medals.
