Azerbaijan announces gymnasts involved in AGF Trophy International Tournament

Azerbaijani gymnasts who will take part in the AGF Trophy International Tournament in Artistic Gymnastics in Baku have been announced.

Nikita Simonov (rings), Ivan Tikhonov (all-around), Rasul Ahmadzada (all-around), Mansum Safarov (floor exercise, vault, parallel bars), Murad Agharzayev (floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars) will compete in the international tournament among adults while Nihat Muradli (all-around) and Aydin Alizada (all-around) will compete among the juniors, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation told Azertac.

The qualification stage will be held during the first two days, while the final stage will be held on the last day of the competitions.

Besides the Azerbaijani representatives, the athletes from Canada, Iran, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Georgia will also take part in the tournament.

The tournament for adults and juniors has been approved by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). Pre-juniors will also compete as part of the competitions.

The AGF Trophy International Tournament in Artistic Gymnastics will be held on March 15-17.
