Azerbaijan bans 3 athletes for use of doping substances

Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has disqualified 3 Azerbaijani athletes for breaking the organization’s rules.

According to Report, the agency has banned powerlifters Elmin Niftaliyev and Ramil Ahmedov for 2 and 4 years respectively from competing.

Weightlifter Sahavat Babayev was also disqualified by the agency for a time period of 2 years.

As AMADA announced, the probes of all three athletes showed traces of either prohibited substances, metabolites or markers.
