Azerbaijan-China cooperation accelerates across agriculture, technology
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, has met with China’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, underscoring the rapidly growing cooperation between the two nations across multiple domains.
Mammadov highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s full support for initiatives aimed at deepening trade and economic ties with China, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Agriculture.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss strategic avenues for enhancing collaboration in the agricultural sector. Key topics included strengthening the legal and contractual frameworks governing agricultural cooperation, the establishment of a joint working group dedicated to agricultural development, and efforts to boost the trade turnover of agricultural and food products. Additionally, discussions emphasized the transfer of cutting-edge agricultural technologies, alongside joint ventures in agricultural research and innovation.
Ambassador Lu Mei conveyed Beijing’s strong commitment to fostering a comprehensive partnership with Azerbaijan. She described China as a steadfast and friendly ally, expressing enthusiasm about the substantial potential for expanding cooperation not only in agriculture but also in innovation and technological advancement.
The sides voiced a mutual interest in the outlined areas, engaging in a wide-ranging exchange of perspectives on matters of shared concern.
