Azerbaijan fully restoring water-reclamation systems of Karabakh, East Zangazur
Adviser to the chairman of Azerbaijan Land Reclamation and Water Management company Asad Shirinov has said that the water-reclamation and irrigation systems of Karabakh and East Zangazur are being fully restored in Azerbaijan.
“The work is already underway to prepare feasibility studies and design documentation for the restoration of reclamation and water management complexes in the Aghdam, Fuzuli and Jabrayil districts,” he noted, according to Caliber.Az.
“The Sugovushan reservoirs and main water canals [Tartar district, capacity 5.86 million cubic metres), Khachinchay [Aghdam district, capacity 23 million cubic metres], Kendalanchay, Kendalanchay-1 and Kendalanchay-2 [Fuzuli district, total capacity 15.5 million cubic metres], as well as the reconstruction of the Tartarchay canal are being repaired,” Shirinov noted.
“The work is underway to prepare design documents for the main water canal from the Giz Galasi reservoir stretching 56 kilometres, the Hakarichay reservoir in the Lachin district [design capacity - 90.8 million cubic metres], Bargushadchay in the Gubadli district [design capacity - 67 million cubic metres] and the reservoir on the Zabuhchay River in the Lachin district with a design capacity of 26.7 million cubic metres,” he added.
