Azerbaijan hosts 3rd CIS Games: competitions in ten sports scheduled for today
Azerbaijan continues to host the 3rd CIS Games, with competitions in ten different sports taking place across several cities today.
The Ganja Sports Palace will stage semifinal and group-stage volleyball matches among boys and girls. The same venue will also host qualifying and final rounds in shooting events, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Spectators in Ganja will be able to watch women’s individual sabre fencing bouts, as well as basketball 3x3 games among boys and girls.
In Yevlakh, the Olympic Sports Complex will hold the final boxing bouts in the men’s 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 70, 75, 80, and +80 kg weight categories.
The Gabala Olympic Sports Complex will feature the final badminton matches among boys and girls in both singles and doubles events.
Meanwhile, the Goygol Olympic Sports Complex will host the judo quarterfinals, semifinals, and bronze and gold medal contests.
In Mingachevir, the finals in rowing, canoe, and kayak races are set to take place, while archery competitions will continue in Khankendi.
