Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia to sign trilateral transit agreement
Minister of Customs of Iran Alirza Muqaddas has said that Azerbaijan and Iran have signed three protocols on cooperation in the customs sphere.
The documents were signed in Julfa by Alirza Muqaddas and Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Safar Mehdiyev, Report informs with reference to the Iranian press.
According to Muqaddas, 13 articles of the protocols signed between the official representatives of the customs of the two countries will contribute to the further development, acceleration and coordination of cooperation, economic operations, customs procedures and bilateral relations: "In these protocols, an agreement on trilateral transit between Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia was reached."
The minister noted that the Azerbaijani representatives agreed with the articles of these protocols, and a trilateral agreement is currently to be signed in Tehran.
