Azerbaijan plans resettlement of 228 families in Khojaly, Karkijahan, Sugovushan
During a scientific-practical conference in Khankandi city, Elchin Yusubov, Special Representative of the President in Khankandi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, announced Azerbaijan's resettlement plan for 2024.
According to Yusubov, a total of 228 families are slated for resettlement across several locations within Azerbaijan by the end of the current year, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The plan includes resettling families in Khojaly city, Karkijahan settlement and Malibayli village, as well as Umudlu village of Aghdara district.
Already, 50 families have been successfully resettled in Khojaly city, with another 50 expected to follow soon.
Yusubov highlighted that 20 families have already been relocated to Talish village in Aghdara district, with an additional 190 families scheduled to move to Sugovushan village by September and October, 2024. He emphasized that this number is set to increase significantly in the coming years as part of Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to enhance living conditions and infrastructure in these regions.
