Azerbaijan rises to 27th place in UEFA rankings
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has updated its country coefficient table following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, with Azerbaijan placed 27th.
The country’s coefficient now stands at 22.937. Azerbaijani clubs earned 5.812 points in this European campaign, ranking 21st among all national associations in seasonal performance, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The main contribution came from Qarabağ, which collected 18.750 points in European competitions. National champions Sabah added 2.500 points, Araz-Nakhchivan contributed 1.500, and Zira earned 0.500.
In total, Azerbaijani clubs accumulated 23.250 points over the season.
The report also noted that Azerbaijan finished ahead of several countries in the UEFA rankings, including Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden, Scotland, and Austria.
England remains top of the ranking with a coefficient of 119.519, followed by Italy, Spain, Germany, and France.
UEFA rankings determine the number of club competition slots allocated to each country, with Azerbaijan currently holding four places.
