Azerbaijan, Russia discuss cooperation dynamics
Azerbaijan’s Acting Consul General in Yekaterinburg Shohrat Mustafayev and Russia’s Kamchatka region Governor Vladimir Solodov discussed the dynamics of cooperation in a number of areas.
During the meeting, Solodov noted the development of tourism and the fishing industry in Kamchatka and expressed interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan in this area, Azertag reports.
In turn, Mustafayev talked about Azerbaijan’s economic and tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan and emphasised that the country has very close economic, cultural and humanitarian relations with various subjects of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, the governor was presented a book "Heydar Aliyev - Look from Russia", published in Russia with the support of the Consulate General in connection with the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, and a souvenir national carpet.
Azerbaijan and Russia have mutual cooperation in different fields, such as economy, agriculture, customs, communications, high technology, and others. More than 230 intergovernmental and intercompany documents have been signed between the two countries and six "road maps" are being implemented.
Azerbaijani investments in Russia's economy have exceeded $1.2 billion, with the majority of these investments being in the non-oil sector. In addition, Russian investments in Azerbaijan's economy totalled $6.3 billion, with $5 billion invested in the oil sector and $1.3 billion invested in non-oil sectors.
