Azerbaijan's Gabala Music Festival returns for 15th edition, featuring world-class performers
The 15th Gabala International Music Festival will take place from July 29 to August 3, bringing together acclaimed musicians and ensembles from Azerbaijan and abroad for a week of classical music performances.
The festival is being held on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with the support of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture, the Baku Music Academy and Gilan Holding, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
This year's edition will feature distinguished performers and artistic groups from Azerbaijan, Austria, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
The festival will open on July 29 with a concert by the Student Symphony Orchestra of the Uzeyir Hajibayli Baku Music Academy under the baton of Azerbaijan's People's Artist Ramiz Malik-Aslanov. The opening program will include works by Azerbaijani and European composers.
The festival will conclude on August 3 with a gala concert by the Uzeyir Hajibayli Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov.
The closing performance will feature People's Artists Azar Zeynalov, Dinara Aliyeva, Elchin Azizov and Samir Jafarov, alongside Honored Artists Elnara Mammadova and Sahib Pashazada, as well as laureates of international music competitions.
Held annually since 2009, the Gabala International Music Festival has established itself as one of Azerbaijan's premier cultural events, bringing together prominent figures from the international music community on a single stage.
Admission to all festival concert programs will be free of charge.
