Azerbaijan's junior freestyle wrestling team becomes European champion

In Santiago de Compostela (Spain), the junior EURO (U-20) freestyle wrestling championship has concluded.

Azerbaijan's national team managed to win a historic result by becoming the best at the championship, azerisport.com reports.

Our team has six (2-1-3) awards and 143 points, thanks to which it became the European champion. This is a relative result of Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestling team within the EURO (U-20).

It should be noted that Ruslan Abdullayev (57 kg) and Jeyhun Allahverdev (61 kg) won gold among freestyle wrestlers,  Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) a silver medal, and Javidan Ahmadov (70 kg), Sadig Mustafazade (79 kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) bronze medals.
