Azerbaijan's "Neftchi" through to next UEFA Conference League qualifying round

In the second leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie on August 3, Azerbaijan's "Neftchi" PFK football club outshone "Zeleznichar" from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The home game for "Neftchi" at the Bakcell Arena ended with a 2:1 victory over its rival. Goald by Sayef and Matias secured the next round ticket for the Azerbaijani club, Caliber.Az reports.

In the next qualifying round of the tournament, "Neftchi" will square off against "Besiktas" from Türkiye.

In the meantime, Azerbaijan's next club in the Conference League, "Gabala" FC lost on the same day an away game 1:4 to the Cypriot "Omonia" to bid farewell to the European football this season.
