Azerbaijan's opponents in UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying draw unveiled
The qualifying draw for UEFA EURO 2024 was held in Frankfurt, Germany on October 9.
The Azerbaijan national team will compete in group F with teams from Belgium, Austria, Sweden and Estonia, azerisport.com reports.
Before the draw, the teams were determined in six pots, in accordance with the overall ranking of the League of Nations for the 2022/23 season. The Azerbaijani team entered the fourth pot.
The rest groups are as follows:
Group A: Spain, Scotland, Norway, Georgia, Cyprus
Group B: Netherlands, France, Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar
Group C: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta
Group D: Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Türkiye, Latvia
Group E: Poland, Czech Republic, Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova
Group G: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Lithuania
Group H: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, San Marino
Group I: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus, Andorra
Group J: Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein
Head coach of the Azerbaijani national team Gianni De Biasi and AFFA Secretary General Sarkhan Hajiyev are in Germany.
