Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Uzbek ministers discuss cooperation in youth, sports
Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, met with senior officials from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on the sidelines of the Phygital Sports Summit Astana 2026 to discuss cooperation in youth and sports, the ministry has said.
It noted that, during the summit, Gayibov spoke at the session titled Shaping the Future of Phygital Sports: Government, Policy and Global Leadership, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Following the session, participants attended the official opening ceremony of the Games of the Future.
On the sidelines of the event, Gayibov held separate meetings with Kazakhstan's Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Sports, Adkham Ikramov, and Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
The officials discussed the current state of cooperation in the field of youth affairs and explored prospects for expanding collaboration.
