Azerbaijan's weightlifter claims three European medals PHOTO

Azerbaijani weightlifter Ravin Almamedov won three gold medals at the European Junior Championship in the Moldovan capital Chisinau.

The athlete, who competed in the 73 kg weight category, secured the winner's crown in competitions of boys up to 17 years old, having lifted 137 kg in the clean and jerk, Caliber.Az reports.

Azerbaijani weightlifter also won first place, having lifted 162 kg in the snatch.

Ravin Almamedov was the strongest in the 73 kg category, grabbing his third gold medal at the European Championships with a total of 299 kg (137+162).
