Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia mull preparations for COP29

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has commended Saudi Arabia for financial support in the amount of $3 million to eliminate the negative consequences of mine contamination in the liberated territories as he had a telephone conversation with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, his Saudi Arabian counterpart.

During the telephone conversation, Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the importance of Saudi Arabia's support in the post-conflict period, the ministry told Caliber.Az.

The cooperation with Saudi Arabia in preparation for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to be held by Azerbaijan was hailed at the meeting.

The sides exchanged views on the current state of and prospects for cooperation between the two countries on transition to green energy.
