Azerbaijan, Serbia explore expanded sports cooperation through joint initiatives
Azerbaijan and Serbia have discussed ways to deepen cooperation in the sports sector, focusing on joint initiatives, experience sharing, and broader collaboration on international platforms.
The talks took place between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov and Serbia’s Minister of Sport, Zoran Gajić, during Gajić’s visit to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and outlined prospects for its further development. Discussions centred on expanding institutional exchanges, launching joint sports projects, and strengthening coordination within international sporting organisations.
Officials underlined the importance of sustained engagement between the two countries’ sports institutions as part of broader efforts to enhance people-to-people ties and promote shared expertise in athletic development and management.
