Azerbaijan set to face India in crucial World Chess Olympiad match

Azerbaijan’s national teams will play their next matches at the 46th World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on September 24.

The men’s team will face India in the eighth round, while the women’s team will take on Argentina, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

After seven rounds, Azerbaijan’s men’s team sits fifth with 12 points, while the women’s team is 14th with 10 points.

The World Chess Olympiad is being held under the Swiss system and consists of 11 rounds. The competition will conclude on September 27.
