Azerbaijan thanks Uzbekistan, Türkiye for support in restoration of liberated lands
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has thanked Uzbekistan and Türkiye for their support in the restoration of the Karabakh Region following the liberation from Armenian occupation in 2020.
The minister made the statement during a joint press conference with Turkish and Uzbek counterparts Mevlut Cavusoglu and Vladimir Norov in Tashkent on August 2 following the first meeting of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Türkiye dialogue format, Report informs.
During the meeting, Bayramov informed his counterparts about the post-conflict situation in the region, including Azerbaijan's peacekeeping efforts.
He noted that Azerbaijan's position on the normalisation of relations with Armenia is based on the principles of international law.
The revival of the liberated lands, and the opening of transport corridors, including the Zangazur one, will serve to expand international transport links, Bayramov underlined.
