Azerbaijan to ban entry for several European politicians

Spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Aykhan Hajizada has said that those who voted against the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE have been added to the list of "undesirable people".

Hajizada made these remarks by commenting on German parliamentarian Frank Schwabe’s statement regarding Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

He noted that until the Azerbaijani delegation's mandate in PACE is restored, these individuals will be prohibited from entering Azerbaijan. 

"First and foremost, I would like to point out that Schwabe's comments about Azerbaijan and its leadership despite his name being associated with several corruption cases and dubious business connections reveal just how biased, deceitful, and duplicitous a politician he is," Hajizada said.

"Comments directed at the political leadership of Azerbaijan—one of the leading countries in terms of political stability, economic development, and progress are primarily viewed as biased attitudes toward the country's achievements," he added.
