Azerbaijan to field 10 athletes at Balkan championships in Slovenia PHOTO

Azerbaijan will be represented by a 10-member team at the Balkan Athletics Under-18 Championships, which begin on July 4 in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, according to the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation.

The women's team includes Safiya Karimova in the 100 metres, Medina Huseynzade in the 400 metres, Gulchin Naghiyeva in the 800 metres, and Zeynab Amrahova in the discus throw, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

In the men's competition, Ramil Ismailov will compete in the triple jump, Shamkhal Hasanzade in the long jump, Mehdi Abbaszade in the 400 metres, Bulbul Babaev in the high jump, Daniil Shuvayev in the 100 metres, and Loghman Israfilli in the 800 metres.

The Azerbaijani team will be coached by Orkhan Aslanov, Mikhal Pogani, and Anar Yusifov.
